New Workshops at Artshed for the Spring

New Tutors at Artshed

We are delighted to introduce to Artshed, two new tutors who will be teaching some of the newest selection of workshops for the Spring. Tania Durrant will be tutoring ‘Dry Point Etching’ Printmaking and Julie Maginn will be teaching how to experiment with the use of mixed media within painting.

Tania Durrant - Fine Art Printmaker
Tania studied BA Fashion and Textile design at Nottingham Trent and more recently printmaking at the Curwen Print Studio in Cambridge and Edinburgh Printmakers.

Her prints are inspired by walking and sketching in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside and the dramatic landscape of the West Coast of Scotland, where she has strong family connections. Apart from printmaking her other great passion is teaching and she teaches Fine Art Printmaking evening classes throughout the County. Tania has a simple but dramatic process for dry point printing which can inspire and fascinate. Tuesday 24 and Saturday 28 April: Full day classes including all materials and lunch.

Julie Maginn – Fine Artist
Julie was initially inspired and influenced by her travelling in South America in 1998; after a successful career in art and design, she returned to London and set up her own company called,’ Be at One’, creating holistic design concepts, logo styles and mood canvases for private members clubs. Since uprooting to Harpenden in 2003 she has experimented and continued to develop her style to create a range of contemporary paintings, which reflect her graphic and eclectic influences. The workshop format designed for Artshed will illustrate how you can use borrowed media and layering to create completely unique work: Starting this February click on our workshops web site for more information.
