POTTER/CERAMCIS

New Season starting in September for beginners and improvers. The first six weeks of this course is essentially instruction of the basics of hand construction. Slab work, coils, introduction into decoration, glazing staining slips etc.

During this period all clay and firing costs are included in the £150.00 termly fee. Wednesday evenings 7.-9.30pm

The following weeks are for you to pursue your own projects. Further tuition in mould making, slab building, glazing and firing techniques.

We have a ever increasing range to workshops for painting, drawing, and art and craft. As part of our new workshop layout, we now increase the range to classes to include more craft based classes.

PORTFOLIO BUILDING AND PREPARATION

Artshed Creative Skills Centre has a diverse and knowledgeable resource for helping students who are planning to take their art either into further/higher education or for those completing a GCSE course work.

Jean Picton is a well known and very successfull artist and is one of our more well known and long stanidng tutors. She has built up a reputation for helping students put their portfolios together, with some outstanding results for the students with gaining some impressive acceptances and pass marks.

Wednesday afternoons between 2 - 5.00pm Jean will be here to give students as much help as she can with their all important portfolios.

£18.75 to include any materials needed and refreshments.
