* Learn how to handle a new medium - ink sticks, also to included mixed media and tissue paper

* Use collage techniques including layering and glazing

* Starting with tonal black and white in the morning and moving on to colour

* Incorporating drawn line

* Work on watercolour paper

* ALL MATERIALS AND REFRESHMENTS

DON'T FOR GET TO BRING ALONG A LIGHT LUNCH FOR THE SHORT BREAK AT MIDDAY.



This is a new workshop for Jean we have called it 'All things bright and beautiful' with Jean's well known focus' on the use of colour and line to create bright and interesting pieces of works based on the theme 'summer garden'.

This new product called Derwent Inktense Blocks are just a revelation, the freedom and versatility is perfect for the style of painting used by Jean with her emphasis on the drawn line and colour wash.

Suitable for complete beginners, Jean will take you through the process of this new medium. Exploring a wide range of materials including tissue paper. Jean puts much emphasis on the drawn line in this class, very exploratory and exciting workshop.
