Brand new session starting in April running through to July. The course is designed for all those who wish to expand upon their knowledge, but also for beginners who wish to start learning the basics of pottery construction. From thumb pots, coil pots, slab construction and beyond. Basic throwing tution is also given.

Paperclay, mould making, smoke firing, using stains and decoration. We also included the basics function of kilns and glazing. A comprehensive introduction to ceramics.

The evenings are open to all those who have more experience, where you are able to get on with your own projects, but with the added benefit of some help and advice from a tutor.

Further classes in this series will include raku firing and slip casting as well as slab decoration.

Through this course, the student will learn the basics of how to cut and grind glass pieces to develop an endless range of panels, sun-catchers or lampshades. This method is open to many possibilities of the use of shape, colour and design in glass. Soldering, fitting together and polishing will also be covered. The end of the course the student should have created a simple sun catcher created in addition to a grounding in all basic techniques.

4 Day intensive tution for silver jewellery construction and PMC.

This new course is scheduled over 4 days where you will learn all the processes quickly and enable you to start your new career and soon as you can.

Working with sterling silver from the first day, the course starts with a complete induction and a simple design project which will encompass, soldering, sawing, finishing.

These initial stages take you through the various tools, making sure you are inducted correctly, ensuring correct use from day one.

Day two is taken by another tutor and you are taught the different qualities of PMC construction by creating a fine hollow bead and other items such as earrings, charms etc. Finishing with gaining all the necessary skills for PMC.

Day three and four; continues with another silver jewellery construction project. The construction of a jump ring bracelet covers all the beginners skills, with continued practice of soldering, sawing sheet silver, creating a 'T' bar or 'S' hook, finishing and polishing. Also we introduce you to the rolling mill and other specialist tools.

This oil painting day is designed to introduce the newcomer to the mediums for oil painting and to a broader range of processes. To include colour mixing tutorial.

Additionally the aim is to introduce you to the initial concepts of impressionistic/abstract painting.

The morning is dedicated to the processes of colour mixing, introduction to various mediums. The afternoon is devoted to creation of a still life painting.

This course is ideal for beginners through to refreshers. Learn the basic rules, tips and shortcuts. Gain confidence while improving your drawing sills and discover new and exciting ways of mark making. Maintain a good working relationship wih the pencil and appreciate what a wonderful tool it can be.

Get a 'kick start' to achieving important tonal drawing skills without stress and begin to unravel the dreaded perspective problem and never again say "I can't draw"

SESSION 1: Explore different forms of mark making with charcoal, graphite, wax resist, ink and chalk.
SESSION 2: Negative space drawing using still life research.
SESSION 3: Perspective, basic rules including measured drawing. Full tonal drawing to complete the course.

THREE SATURDAY MORNING SESSIONS WILL COVER ALL OF THE ABOVE, DEPENDANT UPON WHICH DAY YOU ATTEND.

Jean will clarify the basic structure of water colour technique, workding with a limited palette and strengthen tonal values.

The class will work to a loose approach to water colour painting and create a relaxed, explortory atmosphere, promoting condifence, while encouraging the desire to experiement and explore.
