The course is designed for all those who wish to start learning the basics of pottery construction. From thumb pots, coil pots, slab construction and beyond. Paperclay, mold making, smoke firing, using staind and the basics function of kilns and glazing is all covered in the evening workshops. The evenings are also open to those who have more experience, where you are able to get on with your own projects, but with the added benefit of some help and advice from a tutor. Further classes in this series will include raku firing and slip casting as well as slab decoration. |

This method is open to many possibilities of the use of shape, colour and design in glass. Soldering, fitting together and polishing will also be covered. The end of the course the student should have created a simple sun catcher created in addition to a grounding in all basic techniques. |
