I have been passionate about all things ‘arty’ from an early age and studied photography and film at Lincoln college where I dreamed of becoming the next Annie Liebovitz… It never happened of course, but I still love creating images with a camera and working in the darkroom. Afterwards, I went on to train as a teacher and my love for this profession took me all over the world.
After 20 years of teaching, I followed my dream of becoming an arts therapist and I’ve never looked back. Working with a whole range of clients, from children to adults, my role is to help the communication of thoughts and feelings through the use of a range of art materials. This can help to manage thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment and help assist with psychological, emotional and social development. I’m passionate about using arts for health and I hope to share this with all at artshed.
I am a registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and a member of the British Association of Art Therapists.View all
