Wax carving is a great jewellery making technique and can be used to create organic, geometric and very detailed designs.

Running across two x 3h workshops.

During the first session you’ll learn wax carving techniques and create several different pieces from wax.

You can make pendants, rings or earrings. Select your favourite designs and your tutor, Debbie will get them cast in sterling silver.

Debbie will bring them back in the second session to reveal your design so you can focus on finishing and polishing your jewellery.

No previous experience is necessary.

All tools and wax will be provided and the casting will be organised for you.

There are additional costs, so you are free to choose how many pieces you make and what size they will be;

The cost of the course does not include the silver casting of your chosen pieces. As the cost of silver is based on weight, the caster will work out the cost of casting your pieces, you’ll need to reimburse the tutor directly at the start of week 2.

As a guide, a ring would cost £10 to cast in sterling silver.

The tutor will also bring a price list of chains, ear wires, etc, so if you can purchase some findings to finish your jewellery.

The tutor will order whatever you need at the end of week 1 and you will need to reimburse the tutor during week 2.
