Sunday Pottery Club 2026

ArtshedArts pottery classes are perfect for all levels of ability and knowledge, if you are looking to indulge in a new hobby, focus on your wellbeing or want to add to the pottery skills you already have this is the ideal setting to do this, alongside a group of welcoming like minded people.

Our new Sunday Pottery Club runs once a month on the following dates:

With guided tuition by experienced ceramic artist Jane Sleator, in a relaxed setting you will learn how to work with clay, experiment with our brush on glazes including the use of oxides, stains, slips and under-glazes.

If you are an intermediate with skills under your belt then you are encouraged to develop your own projects with the tutor’s support and guidance.

A beginner can expect to learn : creating stamps and textures, pinch pots, coiling, slab work, throwing on the potter’s wheel

An intermediate can expect to learn about carved relief work, piercing, appliqué and throwing on the potter’s wheel as well as developing knowledge and experimentation of glazes.

The price includes our standard buff clay, glazes and earthenware firing.

(Other clays can be bought from our stock and Stoneware firings are charged as extra by weight.)

If you’d like to come back to glaze your project there are two options;

Book another pottery class with a tutor that can help you with glazing techniques. Our classes stun on Tuesday mornings/Tuesday evenings/Friday afternoon or once a month on a Sunday.
Or Book a get crafty sesssion at a time that suits you and use our underglazes. Your cost to glaze and fire the item will be calculated by weight.
