I’m Jen, the founder of SilverJen Jewellery, By day, I work as an NHS nurse. I’m kept busy looking after my wonderful 3-year-old daughter and my two chaotic cats.
In any spare moment I can find I make and teach how to make beautiful jewellery with silver clay. I’ve been making jewellery for as long as I can remember, enjoying beading, kumihimo, polymer clay, and traditional silversmithing. A few years ago I discovered the magic of silver clay and I haven’t looked back. To me, silver clay is the perfect medium to express myself, and to make beautiful jewellery from home.
In 2025 I passed my Level 1 Metal Clay Diploma, taught by the multi-award winning metal clay artist Julia Rai, and I plan to complete my level 2 this year. I also have a teaching qualification and love being able to teach silver clay work from beginner to advanced. Every single time that little piece of clay transforms into solid silver feels like magic!
