Perfect for complete beginners, this hands-on workshop invites you to discover the magic of silver clay and create a pendent that’s uniquely yours.
PLEASE NOTE: The class price does not include the cost of the silver material. £20 will need to be paid on the day directly to the tutor. DISCLAIMER: The silver clay prices are constantly changing, please be prepared that this cost may fluctuate slightly.
Create a unique piece using silver clay, starting by making your own silicon mould from a small object – no prior experience needed.
A selection of ready-made moulds will be provided for anyone who prefers not to make their own, along with a variety of interesting objects suitable for moulding such as shells, leaves, fossils and more. You are also welcome to bring a small item (up to approximately 2cms in diameter) of your own if you’d like to create something especially personal or specific. Extra clay will be available to purchase on the day for those who wish to create a larger design.
Once your piece is dry and you’re happy with the details, the real magic begins. Using a blowtorch, you’ll fire the clay and watch it transform before your eyes into solid silver. After polishing your pendant to a beautiful shine, it will be ready to wear home with pride.
The workshop includes a chain for your pendant and a jewellery gift box, making it perfect to treat yourself or to gift something truly special, handmade by you.
