Willow Weaving Hare Sculpture Workshop Sunday 9th June 2024

Come and join Jo Sadler, of Forged in Willow, to create your own willow hare sculpture.

Jo comes from South Somerset and demonstrates willow weaving all over the country.

After weeks of preparation, Jo will bring her local Somerset Level Willow as the main material you’ll use to make a gorgeous leaping hare sculpture.

All materials are included.

Wear comfy shoes and clothing, plus an apron (we do also have aprons here that you can use)

We have 45 minute break for lunch. Please bring a packed lunch, or you can book a table at The Three Lakes  restaurant,  situated next to our art centre. The food and service here is brilliant! I would advise to pre-book your lunch for 1pm so you aren’t delayed getting back to your sculpture.

This is a creative, lively workshop with a very satisfying result…just make sure you have room in the car to take your hare home!

Jo has been teaching willow workshops for several years now and works with the National Trust at Barrington and Montecute , River Cottage, Abbotsbury Gardens and  The Swannery.  Originally a gardener, Jo found weaving a natural step which combined her love of animals and nature. She grows her own small supply from withy beds and gets all of her other willow direct and fresh from the Levels. Due to the preparation and cost of materials for this workshop, cancelation must be made at least 14 days prior to the workshop date to get a full refund.
